EOTAS Support Build Around Your Child
Personalised SEN education that helps your child feel safe, engaged, and able to move forward again.
What is EOTAS?
EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) is a provision within an EHCP that allows education to take place outside of a traditional school setting when school is no longer suitable.
At SEN Manny Mentor, EOTAS allows us to take a different approach.
For many young people, learning cannot simply be reintroduced after anxiety, burnout, or trauma. It needs to be rebuilt through trust, consistency, and approaches that feel manageable.
This is where our EOTAS support begins.
We provide coordinated EOTAS packages that combine mentoring, learning support, and collaboration with families, local authorities, and professionals, all shaped around the young person and their EHCP outcomes.

Our Approach Within EOTAS

EOTAS is not simply an alternative timetable.
It is a different way of understanding education.
We begin with the young person, not with targets or expectations. We take time to understand how they regulate, what they enjoy, and what helps them remain engaged rather than overwhelmed.
From there, we build support that feels safe enough to access.
Learning may begin through creativity, movement, conversation, or shared interests. Academic learning is introduced gradually, once a young person feels ready to engage.
This is often where learning becomes possible again.
How Our EOTAS Packages Work
Every EOTAS package begins with the young person and their EHCP.
We design a bespoke package that may include:
-
mentoring
-
learning support
-
interest-led sessions
-
life skills development
Support is adapted over time as confidence, regulation, and capacity change.
We also coordinate provision, working closely with families, local authorities, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach.
Each young person is supported by a small, carefully selected team who reflect together and adapt as needed.

Why Families and Local Authorities Choose SEN Manny Mentor

Autism • ADHD • PDA • Dyslexia • Mental Health & Wellbeing • Anxiety • Physical Health Challenges • Confidence Building • Self-Esteem • Communication Skills • SEND & Neurodivergent Learners • Life Skills • Transitions • Mentoring • Tutoring • Relationship-Led & Holistic Learning • Independence Development • Emotional Regulation • EOTAS & Home Education Support
Families often come to us when EOTAS has been agreed, but the next step is unclear.
They are looking for support that is joined-up, thoughtful, and emotionally safe, without repeating what has already not worked.
Local authorities choose us because we provide:
-
a consistent and reliable team
-
clear communication and coordination
-
support aligned with EHCP outcomes
-
an approach that young people can actually engage with
Outcomes We Support
Our EOTAS provision supports progress across both educational and developmental areas.
This may include:
-
re-engagement with learning
-
improved emotional regulation
-
increased confidence and independence
-
stronger communication
-
readiness for academic learning
-
progress towards EHCP outcomes
Progress is measured in a way that reflects the individual, recognising that for many young people, the ability to feel safe and engaged is a significant step forward.

A Real Example
When we first met one young person, school had become a source of stress. He was bright and creative, but learning felt unreachable.
The initial focus was not academic. It was about rebuilding trust.
Sessions began through shared interests, including gaming and creative exploration, allowing him to feel safe without pressure.
Over time, confidence grew. Learning was gradually reintroduced through approaches that worked for him.
Today, he is working towards GCSEs, and more importantly, learning no longer feels overwhelming.
